About

The Florida Naval Sailors Association was started by six (6) WWII veterans, Ralph Dunlevy, Don Smith, Dave Meyers, Frank (Doc) Falgout who was a Navy Corpsman & Iwo Jima veteran, John Peter’s who landed in Normandy, and Werner Clem, a Pearl Harbor survivor. Most of them served on LSTs so when first started, it was actually an LST Club. As it grew and with members wanting to do more for veterans in the community it turned into what it is today. We are a naval veterans group in Pasco County Florida where those that served on naval vessels come to gather. Our membership consists of U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army Amphibious Forces, and U.S. Merchant Marine veterans from WW II, Korea, Vietnam, and other more recent military campaigns. We have a monthly muster meeting on the first Saturday of every month. Sometimes we have guest speakers. The meetings are held at the American Legion, Paradise Post 79, in New Port Richey, Florida. We also informally meet every Wednesday for breakfast at Susie’s Too Family Restaurant, located at 8010 Old County Rd 54, New Port Richey, FL 34653. These breakfasts are basically old fashion “B.S.” sessions. These breakfasts start at 8:00 AM and usually end around 10:00 AM. If interested come by and see us!
